  • EMOM (for Load) For As Long As Possible
  • At each station athlete must complete:
  • 1 Squat Snatch
  • 2 Overhead Squats
  • or
  • 1 Power Snatch
  • 3 Overhead Squats
  • Men (in lbs.): 135-145-155-165-175-185-195-205-215-225
  • Women (in lbs.): 75-85-95-105-110-115-120-125-130-135

10 bars will be set up for men and women – 20 total per heat. Athletes will have 45 seconds to complete all three movements. Athletes will have 15 seconds between stations. Athletes will finish the workout when they are unable to complete all 3 movements within 45 seconds.

Background: This workout, the first of 4 total workouts for the 2010 South Central CrossFit Games Regionals (aka: “Regionals 10.1 (South Central)”) was announced on May 26, 2010.

In 2010 CrossFit again redesigned the CrossFit Games season. On December 3, 2009, the Games site announced that the 2010 Regionals would no longer be open to anyone — athletes would have to qualify via Sectionals, a new stage of competition. Sectionals chopped the world up into even smaller bits. Some regions were split into as many as four different sections. In addition, an Online Qualifier, specifically designed for military service members unable to attend Sectionals, fed athletes into Regionals.

While 2010 saw the Sectionals spread out over the world, the number of Regionals decreased. Canada East and West were consolidated into one Canada Regional, and Iceland joined Europe. In total, 13 live Regional competitions selected the athletes of the CrossFit Games. Similar to 2009, each qualifying event for the CrossFit Games featured different programming during both Sectionals and Regionals.
