  • Each time you drop from the Pull-Up Bar, perform a Burpee penalty. Add 1 rep for each drop. Ex: 1st drop = 1 Burpee, 2nd drop = 2 Burpees, etc.

Background: This memorial workout is dedicated to Petty Officer 3rd Class Daniel D. Perez, a US Navy aircrewman with Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25, who died in a snorkeling incident on January 11, 2020 in Piti, Guam.

This workout was designed and submitted to us by Branden Randall @branden13k, who was good friends with Daniel. In his submission, Branden told us:

“[Daniel] was a savage when It came to working out. He was a US navy Air rescue swimmer. He would want nothing more than for people put out in his name.

Daniel loved to run, and he loved squats. It’s meant to be a fast transition between the run and toes to bar and wall balls make your legs burn but keep pushing through the pain and finish the run. He was known for always pushing past the pain and finishing the task ahead! Basically it’s just an all-around put out a workout to honor him. And just when you think it’s over you have 50 muscle-ups to do which were his favorite, but he hated burpees so the goal is to try and hang on to the bar as long as you can so you don’t have to do burpees but in reality nobody can complete 50 muscle ups unbroken especially after all the toes to bar you just did.”
