About the wod
Background: “I’ll Float 2” was designed by CrossFit Games athlete Jacob Heppner @jheppner66 who announced it on his Instagram on September 18, 2019 as the second “community workout” for “Midwest Made” @midwest_made_, his fitness programming brand. The name of the workout was given by Jake Floen @jakefloen as a nod to the horror movie “It 2.”
In the announcement, Heppner called “I’ll Float 2” a “community workout” and asked his followers to film themselves doing the WOD and post them to YouTube. He would then have his editor edit the videos together along with his commentary.
7 days later Jacob posted the edited video which featured 6 different athletes’ demo videos (including his own), and Heppner’s frame-in-frame commentary.
Some of the featured athletes’ scores were:
– Heppner: 9:08
– Corey: 11:11
– Steven: 290 reps
– Kelly: 295 reps
– Louise: 395 reps
