Background: The "Sprint Couplet" was the 4th of 12 workouts of the 2019 CrossFit Games. Matt Mcleod took first place individual male with a score of 1:27. Amanda Barnheart took first place individual female with a score of 1:29.

The event was held on day 2 - Friday, August 2nd. Only the top 30 athletes advanced to the next event.

They are world-renowned as a grueling test for the toughest athletes on Earth as well as a thrilling experience for spectators. Since its inception in 2007, the CrossFit Games became 'one of the fastest growing sports in America.'”

The 2019 CrossFit games was held in Madison, Wisconsin, from August 1 - 4. This is the second time the Games have been hosted in Madison, (the first being the 2017 Games).
