“Open 15.1 & 15.1A”

  • Two Parts in 15 minutes
  • (15.1) AMRAP in 9 minutes
  • 15 Toes-to-Bars
  • 10 Deadlifts (115/75 lb)
  • 5 Snatches (115/75 lb)
  • Then ("15.1A"), from 9:00-15:00
  • 1-Rep-Max Clean-and-Jerk

With a running clock, complete 15.1, then move immediately to 15.1a. As soon as the clock reaches 9 minutes and Workout 15.1 is complete, Workout 15.1a will begin. The athlete will have 6 minutes, from 9:00 to 15:00, to complete Workout 15.1a. The same barbell must be used for both 15.1 and 15.1a. Score for Workout 15.1 is the total number of repetitions completed. Score for Workout 15.1a is the weight (in pounds) of the heaviest successful clean-and-jerk.

Open workout 15.1 - the first of five workouts of the 2015 CrossFit Open - was first announced on February 27, 2015, at Canton, Massachusetts when two elite CrossFit Games athletes (Rich Froning and Mat Fraser) tackled the workout live.
