With a running clock, as fast as possible perform the prescribed work in the order written. Perform 21 Thrusters and 21 Burpees before moving on to 18 Thrusters and 18 Burpees and so on.

Score is the time on the clock when the last round of 3 burpees is completed.

Background: Open workout 14.5 - the fifth of five workouts of the 2014 CrossFit Open - was first announced on March 27, 2014, at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco when four elite CrossFit Games athletes (Rich Froning, Samantha Briggs, Jason Khalipa, Annie Thorisdottir, Graham Holmberg) tackled the workout live. We were there!

Open 14.5 was repeated in the 2016 CrossFit Open as Open 16.5

The CrossFit Open in 2014 was billed as "Where grassroots meets greatness." The event touted competing with "hundreds of thousands of athletes in five workouts over five weeks. Do it for fun, your affiliate family, fitness or to reach Regionals and fight for a chance to make it to the Reebok CrossFit Games."
