2012 CrossFit Games Open WOD
- AMRAP in 7 minutes
The workout begins with the athlete in a standing position. Athlete must move from standing to flat on the ground to touching an object (6 inches above their max standing reach) with both hands.
Score is the total number of repetitions before the 7-minute clock ends.
Good Scores for “Open 12.1”
– Beginner: <80 reps
– Intermediate: 90-110 reps
– Advanced: 120-135 reps
– Elite: 140+ reps

Background: Open workout 12.1, the first of five workouts from the 2012 CrossFit Open, was announced on February 22, 2012.
The CrossFit Open in 2012 was billed as “Where grassroots meets greatness.” The event touted competing with “hundreds of thousands of athletes in five workouts over five weeks. Do it for fun, your affiliate family, fitness or to reach Regionals and fight for a chance to make it to the Reebok CrossFit Games.”
