Background: This hero workout is dedicated to the four flight crew members and three Pararescue Jumpers (PJ’s) (all US Air Force) who were killed when their HH-60G Pavehawk Helicopter crashed while on a mission on March 15, 2018, in western Iraq.

The helicopter struck a galvanized steel cable before impacting an uninhabited desert area near al Qaim in western Anbar Province. The aircraft was assigned to the 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing.

We first found this workout posted by Jason Sweet @doctorsweet51, owner of SOCOM Athlete @socomathlete who is also a former Air Force PJ.

In a conversation with WODwell, Jason told us that he was good friends with SSGT Ennis and coached him prior to him attempting to pass the legendary PJ course.

Jason also informed us that the real designer of this workout was PJ CMSGT Mike Ziegler, who responded to the crashed helicopter site to recover the remains of the fallen.
