Assault Bike monitor must be reset each round. Someone else may reset your monitor for you. For burpees, athlete must drop to chest-to-ground, hop up, jump, stand tall, and clap overhead.
About the wod
“Death Race” is a benchmark WOD created by a popular functional training program by coach Ben Bergeron (we can’t use the program’s name) that includes calories on the Assault Bike and burpees.
The workout was first posted to their YouTube channel then to their website as the workout of the day for Wednesday, July 18, 2018. The video featured CrossFit Games athlete, Cole Sager, on an Assault Bike in the middle of a residential street – finishing the workout in 4:53.
They then issued a challenge to any competitor to finish the workout in under 5:30 – in which an Assault Bike brand air bike must be used (because other air bikes like Schwinn Airdynes may accumulate calories differently).
