Background: In an August 11, 2005 post in the CrossFit forum addressed to “Dave” (presumably Dave Castro @thedavecastro, future director of the CrossFit Games) a member named Ryan Atkins suggested that this workout, “Charlotte,” and four others (“Lola,” “Betty,” “Heather,” and “Pukie Brewster“) be added to the official list of girls WODs.
Even though none of the five is considered one of the classic CrossFit “Girls” WODs, they have all since been adopted as benchmarks by plenty of gyms and athletes around the world.
