Working weight for the barbell movements is 40% of the athlete’s bodyweight.

This "Brutus" benchmark workout has two parts: ascending and descending repetitions of two barbell movements and ring dips, with running in between. We first found "Brutus" in a 2008 CrossFit video featuring CrossFit Vancouver (Vancouver, BC, Canada) athletes doing it as the workout of the day for August 9, 2008. Pup finished the workout at 23:02, Remington at 25:06, and Sack at 26:03.

The workout as originally posted used different bodyweight percentages for men and women (40%/30%) but because it's more common now to use same bodyweight percentages for men and women we've posted the workout here with 40% as the standard.
