- 2 Rounds for Time
- 22 Hang Clusters (30/25 kg)
- 20 Burpee Box Jump Overs (24/20 in)
- 21 Pull-Ups
- Buy-Out: 1,000 meter Run
With a running clock, as fast as possible complete 2 rounds for 22 Hang Clean Thrusters (Clusters), 20 Burpee Box Jump Overs, and 21 Pull-Ups. Then, finish off the workout with a 1,000 meter Run.
Score is the time on the clock when the 1,000 meter Run is completed.
Tips and Strategy
Strategy is to go all unbroken through the rounds by pacing, and go all out in the last 1000 meter Run. Run is performed once, at the end of the second Pulls-Ups set. If you want feel more burn, wear a Weighted Vest.
About the wod
Background: This workout is dedicated to Italian policeman Vittorio Lacovacci, who was killed in an attack in Congo on February 22, 2021, where the Italian ambassador Luca Attanasio also lost his life.
Vittorio was 30 years old and originally from Sonnino (Latina), Italy. He was part of the 13th ‘Friuli Venezia Giulia’ Regiment based in Gorizia. He had also served at the Italian paratroopers brigade “Folgore”.
He was engaged and was planning the wedding for this summer. The soldier should have returned to Italy in a few days, in March.
The workout was designed by one of Vittorio’s colleague and coach at CrossFit Italia @crossfit_italia.
