Background: In honor of Victoria and the lives she touched, a group of CrossFit athletes asked local gyms in Albuquerque, NM to come together to celebrate her life with a memorial workout on her birthday, August 23.

On August 24, 2016, 10-year-old Victoria Martens was found lifeless in an apartment building in Albuquerque.

The Victoria Martens Memorial WOD is scalable for all fitness levels. It’s programmed to be completed with a partner to include a variety of fitness modalities “based on the CrossFit methodology of Olympic lifting, gymnastics, and metabolic conditioning.”

The WOD was programmed and reviewed by Tori Lau, Whitney Wyers, Jennie Hatch, Claudette Ward and Jonathan Longdon of Gainz Fitness @gainzfitnessabq (Albuquerque, NM, USA).
