Training Think Tank Throwdown WOD

  • With a Running Clock in 30 minutes
  • From 0:00-10:00, establish:
  • 15 rep max Overhead Squats (from the floor)
  • From 10:00-20:00, AMRAP of:
  • Strict Handstand Push-Ups
  • From 21:00-30:00, AMRAP of:
  • 10 Power Snatches (95/65 lb)
  • 10 Bar Facing Burpees

On a 30-minute clock, perform the prescribed work in their designated time windows. In the first 10 minutes, establish 15 rep max Overhead Squats from the ground. In the next 10 minutes, perform as many Strict Handstand Push-Ups as possible. In the last 9 minutes, perform an AMRAP of 10 Power Snatches and 10 Bar Facing Burpees.

There will be three scores for this event. Score A is the heaviest load successfully lifted for the 15 rep max Overhead Squat. Score B is the total number of Strict Handstand Push-Ups completed in 10 minutes. Score C is the total number of rounds and repetitions completed in the last 9 minutes.

Movement Standards

Overhead Squat: Bar can start preloaded. Must be lifted from the ground. 15 reps must be completed unbroken. Take as many attempts as you like.

Strict Handstand Push-Up: Hands must be within 36×24″ box.

Power Snatch: Clean-and-Jerk is not allowed in the AMRAP.

Bar Facing Burpee: 2 foot take-off is required.
