Training Think Tank Throwdown WOD

  • AMRAP in 12 minutes
  • 2 Rounds of:
  • 50 foot Dumbbell Reverse Walking Lunges (2x50/35 lb)
  • 12 Dumbbell Power Cleans (2x50/35 lb)
  • 17 Toes-to-Rings
  • Then, 2 Rounds of:
  • 50 foot Dumbbell Reverse Walking Lunges (2x50/35 lb)
  • 16 Lateral Pogo Burpees over Dumbbells
  • 8 Dumbbell Power Snatches (2x50/35 lb)

On a 12-minute clock, perform as many repetitions as possible (AMRAP) of the prescribed work. Athlete must complete 2 rounds of the Reverse Walking Lunges, Power Cleans, and Toes-to-Rings. Then, perform 2 rounds of the Reverse Walking Lunges, Lateral Burpees, and Power Snatches. Once the last two rounds are completed, start again with the first two rounds. Continue with the sequence until the end of the 12 minutes.Score is the total number of repetitions completed before the 12-minute clock stops.Movement StandardsDumbbell Reverse Walking Lunge: Must Lunge backward. Knee must touch the ground on each rep and you must come to full extension after each step.Dumbbell Power Clean: One head of each Dumbbell must touch the ground and your elbows must pass the Dumbbells at the top of each rep with Dumbbells touching shoulders.Toes-to-Rings: Toes must pass through the Rings at the top and your feet must come behind the vertical line of the Rings at the bottom.Lateral Pogo Burpee: This is a variation of the standard Burpees over Dumbbells. Perform a standard Burpee, jump over the Dumbbells, and jump back to the side where you did the Burpee. This is one rep. You must complete 8 per side. All 8 on one side, then move to the other side and complete 8 on that side. Chest and thighs must touch the ground on each rep.Dumbbell Power Snatch: One head of each Dumbbell must touch the ground at the bottom and you must bring them overhead in one, fluid, motion.
