Background: This tribute WOD is dedicated to Trish King @trishking19. Trish (she/her) is a retired U.S. Army Soldier and a renowned LGBTQ advocate and project management specialist. Trish was America's first openly transgender infantry Soldier and a pioneer of gender equality within the military services. She has over 17 years of leadership experience, through multiple positions both domestically and internationally. Through those experiences, Trish has learned that teams are at their best when everyone can bring their whole self to the table.

Trish also serves as the Founder and Principal of Trish E. King Speaking & Consulting, where she provides services relating to the power of authenticity, the benefits of an inclusive workplace, and how leaders can create a welcoming environment.

Trish recently relocated to the Washington, DC area, after a 20-year career in the US Army that took her all over the world.
