  • Partner A: 20/15 calorie Row
  • Partner B: 20 GHD Sit-Ups
  • * Switch after both partners finish
  • In the remaining time, AMRAP of:
  • Partner A: Bench Presses (155/105)
  • Partner B: Hang Hold from a Pull-Up Bar
  • * Switch as needed

One partner starts on the rower, the other starts on GHD. Switch when both partners’ reps are completed. After each partner completes 5 rounds, complete the max reps bench press in the remaining time (one partner working at a time, while the other does a hang hold); switch as needed.

This memorial WOD is dedicated to Steve Hill, 61, the father of Chase Hill @chill_365 (of CrossFit One Valley) and uncle of Hillary Froning @hillaryfroning (CrossFit Games Champion, Rich Froning’s wife’s) – who passed away on September 1, 2018.

“Steve lived an active life that included motorcycles, motocross, crossfit, outdoor cooking, and spending time at the lake. His life revolved around his wife Mitzi, his children, and granddaughters. Steve was willing to help anyone at any time, and any hour. He had a remarkable impact on his motocross family by being a mechanic, motivator, helper, and go to man. He was a dad to many and always there to help them fulfill their dreams. Steve had many children he was a father figure to, but three that he felt extremely close to are his nieces Hillary, Ali, and his cousin Dusty. All of whom he cared for very much.”

Rich, himself, created this memorial WOD – the original version of which is shown here. CrossFit One Valley and CrossFit Mayhem hosted a memorial event (featuring a different workout) in Steve’s honor on September 22, 2018.
