Detective Suiter had served with the Baltimore Police Department for 18 years and was assigned to the Homicide Unit. He is survived by his wife and five children.

"Detective Sean Suiter paid the ultimate sacrifice on November 16, 2017, when he succumbed to a gunshot wound sustained the previous day while attempting to interview a person during a homicide investigation in the 900 block of Benett Place."

This "Sean Suiter" Hero WOD was designed by Old Line CrossFit (Millersville, MD, USA) and first performed at an event they put on, December 2, 2017, as a fundraiser to benefit Det. Suiter's family.
