Really B Fit Memorial WOD
- For Time
- Buy-In: 58 second Silence
- Then, 2 Rounds of:
- 10 Push-Ups
- 1 mile Run
- 17 Air Squats
- Buy-Out: 58 Burpees
With a running clock, as fast as possible perform the prescribed work in the order written. Athlete must complete the buy-in of 58 second silence before moving on to 2 rounds of 10 Push-Ups, 1 mile Run, and 17 Air Squats. To finish the workout, perform the buy-out of 58 Burpees.
Score is the time on the clock when the 58th Burpee is completed.
About the wod
On the night of October 1, 2017, a gunman opened fire on a crowd of concertgoers at the Route 91 Harvest music festival on the Las Vegas strip.
During the event, 58 people were killed and 851 injured.
This workout was designed by Coach Rebecca Ann @reallybecca_ who was there with her boyfriend during the night of the shooting. They were close to the stage and in a really bad spot. Being a coach, working out really helped her deal with PTSD afterward and she wanted to create a workout for all the survivors as well to remember those we lost and first responders.
The rep scheme signifies:
- 2 rounds for 2 year anniversary when this WOD was created
- 10-1-17 reps for the date of the incident
- 58 for the people killed in the shooting.
