- Part B
- For Time
- Perform the same work and same number of repetitions you completed in Part A, as fast as possible.
This workout consists of 2 parts. In Part A, complete as many repetitions as possible (“AMRAP“) in 8 minutes of 2 Hang Clean-and-Jerks and 2 Box Jumps, increasing by 2 reps after each round. Then rest for 4 minutes. After the rest, Part B will commence following the same pattern as Part A, but completing the same number of repetitions completed in the first AMRAP, this time as fast as possible.
There will be two scores for this workout. Score A is the total number of repetitions completed in the 8-minute AMRAP. Score B is the time to complete the same number of reps completed in Part A.
Tips and Strategy
Choose a weight where you can go unbroken on the Clean-and-Jerks through the round of 6 reps. For the Box Jumps, choose the height where you are comfortable jumping up and stepping down (or jumping down). Don’t try to game in Part A so you can do really well in Part B.
Two 6-minute AMRAPs in 14 minutes
8 Hang Power Cleans
8 Overhead Presses
8 Dumbbell Jump Over
Rest 2 minutes after the first AMRAP.
About the wod
Background: “Psyche” is one of the 25 workouts from the Street Parking @streetpartking Vault series. These workouts were designed with 25 of Street Parking’s all-time favorite workouts, to be done over the course of 25 weeks, completing 1 each week.
The Street Parking Vault series was created to give their members the opportunity to practice one of their core values: consistency. By participating in the weekly Vault workout, members had the chance to earn a prize at the end of 25 of the weeks, earned by completing all of the workouts within each of their respective weeks.
This IS NOT a competition against other Street Parking Members. Members can do any version of the workout (Dumbbell, Barbell, Sandbag, or our beginner/modified version “SHIFT”) and scores DO NOT MATTER. We encourage members to modify where needed and make it work for their current fitness level and available equipment. There’s no ‘wait to do this until you’re a certain fitness level’ with ANY of the Street Parking workouts, and the same is true of the Vault. There is a version for everyone. – Street Parking
