"Luca" is a tribute WOD inspired by the birth of Luca Robert Downing, the son of coach Luke Downing @lukeydpt (Lichtfield, England), who told us: "Luca was born October 8, 2018 and changed my life instantly. I wanted to give him a workout that will stand the test of time so when he grows up ... he will already understand the fundamentals of a great conditioning workouts and how keeping things simple is often the best option for achieving the desired goal."

"Luca" was designed to be low skill enough to make it achievable for everyone but tough enough to make it challenge even the fittest athletes. "500 reps in under 20 minutes make this an aerobic conditioning mountain to climb and one that really cranks up the volume to ear-bursting levels."

The main exercises are 4 of the fundamental movement patterns sprinkled with burpees (the king of the bodyweight conditioning exercises) all designed to keep that engine working.
