  • AMRAP in 5 Minutes (from 0:00-5:00):
  • 10 Bar-Facing Burpees

  • Then, 5 Minutes (from 5:00-10:00) to Establish:
  • 5 Rep Max Low Hang Snatch
  • Then, For Time (starting at 10:00):
  • 25 Overhead Squats (135/95 lb)

The WOD has 3 parts. Part 1 starts with a running clock; Part 2 starts at the 5:00 mark, Part 3 starts at the 10:00 mark. Score for Part 1 is total rounds plus reps completed under 5:00; score for Part 2 is heaviest weight successfully lifted (bar cannot touch the ground between reps); score for part 3 is the time it takes you to finish the work after the 10:00 mark (i.e.: if you finish at 17:00, your score for part 3 is 7:00).

Background: In the week 1 of the 2015 East Coast Championship (ECC) Qualifier workout #1 (aka: 15.1) was announced on October 30, 2014...part of a series of workouts for open participation, which test athletes to determine who should earn an invitation to ECC. ECC was an elite one-day functional fitness competition in Boston that attracted athletes from all over the world.
