  • For Time
  • Buy-In: 800 meter Run
  • Then, 2 Rounds of:
  • 7 Power Cleans (135/95 lb)
  • 7 Strict Pull-Ups
  • 7 Shoulder-to-Overheads (135/95 lb)
  • 7 GHD Sit-Ups
  • 7 Front Squats (135/95 lb)
  • 7 Weighted Box Step-Ups (135/95 lb, 24/20 in)
  • 7 Snatches (135/95 lb)
  • Buy-Out: 800 meter Run

With a running clock, as fast as possible perform the prescribed work in the order written. Athlete must complete the Buy-In of an 800 meter Run before moving onto the second part of the workout. After the Run, athlete must complete 2 rounds of 7 Power Cleans, 7 Strict Pull-Ups, 7 Shoulder-to-Overheads, 7 GHD Sit-Ups, 7 Front Squats, 7 Weighted Box Step-Ups, and 7 Snatches. To finish the workout, the athlete must finally perform the last 800 meter Run—AKA the Buy-Out.

Score is the time on the clock when the last 800 meter Run is completed.

Background: This workout is dedicated to Dylan Will who passed away on August 20, 2014, from suicide.

The workout was designed by his mother, Coach Cara Will @caracwill (formerly of CrossFit 419 @crossfit_419, Ashand, OH, USA) and with the help of her friends Lyndsey and Anne.

The rep scheme of 7/7 signifies the date when Dylan was born. The 98 total reps signify his birth year. The total run of 1600 meters (16) represents the years he blessed this earth.

In Cara’s own words: “On August 20, 2014 my world changed forever. It was my oldest son’s 18th birthday and we were taking him to his first year at college. I was excited, but sad at the thought of “losing” him to the world. Then at 3:00, I received a call that no mother ever wants to receive.

My second son, Dylan, was found dead at our home by my mother-in-law and 3 other children.

I did in fact lose a child that day, but not the way I thought.”
