- AMRAP (with a Partner) in 25 minutes
- 24 Box Jumps (24/20 in)
- 5 Chest-to-Bar Pull-Ups (each)
- 28 Thrusters (95/65 lb)
- 20 Toes-to-Bars
- 17 Burpees
Partners can split the work as needed (except for the chest-to-bar pull-ups, of which each partner must complete 5 reps per round).
Bayot’s team was dispatched there to provide additional security in the area during a siege. Moments later, the group was attacked by gunfire coming from the mayor’s house, which had by then been taken over by the terrorist forces. Five of Bayot’s companions were killed, three others tried to flee but one was killed and two were wounded in the attempt.
Now alone and surrounded by the enemy, Bayot radioed his commanding officer for reinforcement but none came. A few hours later, the answer came – reinforcements had attempted twice to get there but the only passage to him was blocked by enemy forces.
Knowing that he was indeed in the middle of enemy lines and that death was imminent, Bayot radioed his coordinates. His last words were “just bomb my location sir” when surrounded by ISIS terrorist in Zamboanga Del Sur. He died together with all the terrorist in that location. His body was retrieved on May 28, 2017.
The workout is performed with a partner in honor of PFC Dhan bayot who died alone, but the spirit of the workout is “to share and endure the pain, and you don’t have to do it alone.”
Movements were chosen based on the fatigue level, and the mental components of the movements like burpees and thrusters. The rep scheme is based on the soldier’s age (24), and date when his body was recovered (5/28/2017).
