About the wod
Background: This memorial workout is dedicated to Commander Eduardo Garvalena Crespo, Spanish Air Force, who passed away on February 27, 2020, in Murcia, Spain while performing an aerial acrobatics display.
Commander Garvalena was a member of the PATRULLA AGUILA of the Spanish Air Force. He exercised the role of SOLO within the Acrobatic Patrol (the member who performs the most difficult maneuvers). The aircraft Commander Garvalena was flying crashed into the waters of La Manga del Mar Menor in the Mediterranean Sea.
He died at the age of 38 and left behind 3 daughters.
This workout was designed by Coach Alberto García Luengo who is a CrossFit trainer and competitor, as well as a National Police officer in Spain. He was also Commander Garvalena’s friend of 32 years and the godfather of one of his daughters.
