“CIS 19.1 Qualifier”
2019 CrossFit Italian Showdown WOD #1
- For Time
- 25 calorie SkiErg
- Then, for max reps in the remaining time:
- Handstand Push-Ups
- Time Cap: 3 minutes
Athletes unable to perform the Rx movement can choose to perform hand release push-ups. Mixing up is not allowed.
The three qualifying workouts are based on the 3-minute on and 1-minute off template. The first part for time is the tie-breaker, the second part for points is the final score. For each workout, the athlete can choose his/her favorite movement out of 2 available versions (Rx and scaled) and declare it to the judge (mixing up the two movements is not allowed).
SkiErg: Monitor must be reset to zero before start. The dumper must be set at least to Level 2 (No Level 1).
Handstand Push-Ups: This movement begins and ends at the top of a handstand with the arms fully locked out, the heels in contact with the wall and the hips open with the body in line with the arms. The palm of the hand must be placed within the clearly marked area (fingers may extend outside of the mat). At the bottom of each rep, the athlete’s head must touch the ground. At the top of each rep, the athlete must return to a fully locked out position, with the heels in contact with the wall and the feet within the width of the marked area. Kipping is allowed.
Hand-Release Push-Ups: A straight body position must be maintained throughout the movement. No snaking, sagging or pushing up from the knees is allowed. The elbows must be locked at the top with the feet no wider than shoulder width. At the bottom, the chest must touch the floor, and the hands must be lifted completely off the ground.
