Background: This Memorial workout was created in honor of Carla Davis who, after a valiant fight, succumbed to Stage 3 cancer on Aug. 11, 2018. "Carla D" was programmed by Coach Chawg Sanchez of Golden State CrossFit @goldenstatecrossfit (Antioch, CA, USA) for Carla's son, Rory Edwards, a member of the gym.

In an email with Rory, he told us that his mother was "tough as nails" and that "the reps and rounds are pretty killer and they are pure endurance and strength driven." According to Rory, the rounds and reps signify Carla's birthday (June 28, 1961) and the movements are among his favorites.
