Social Media Manager (Freelance, Part-Time)

WODwell is looking for a social media master who is also immersed in the world of CrossFit to help us manage our growing social media presence, inspire our followers, and bring unique value to the broader functional fitness community.

This is a contract position (~10 hours/week) to start.

Work from home, or anywhere you want, on your own schedule. We are a completely distributed team (no office).

Some of the things we need your help with:

  • Write. Craft WODwell’s most important short-form copy every day, primarily for Instagram and Facebook. Define and own our social voice and tone.
  • Design. Develop ways to communicate the product visually, create assets yourself, and work with a contract designer to bring visions to life.
  • Research. Understand the audience, what they want, and how WODwell can help them do it. Spend a lot of time speaking with users, about and through our channels to get these insights.
  • Strategize. Devise the best ways to talk to and inspire people, drive engagement, and make them feel like they have a relationship with WODwell.
  • Test. The faster we figure out what works, the sooner we reach more people in more compelling ways. Identify the social media metrics that map to our goals, use them to figure out what type of content we should invest in, and iterate constantly.

Requirements:

  • Experience managing brand accounts
  • Experience building online communities
  • Familiarity with social media best practices, tools, and metrics
  • Native English speaker

  • You’re a certified CrossFit coach
