On August 24, 2016, 10-year-old Victoria Martens was found lifeless in an apartment building in Albuquerque, NM. In honor of Victoria and the lives she touched, a group of local CrossFit athletes asked gyms to come together to celebrate her life with a memorial workout of the day (WOD) on her birthday August 23.

The Victoria Martens Memorial WOD is open to the public and anyone can participate. The workout is scalable for all fitness levels. It's programmed to be completed with a partner to include a variety of fitness modalities "based on the CrossFit methodology of Olympic lifting, gymnastics, and metabolic conditioning."

WOD programmed and reviewed by Tori Lau, Whitney Wyers, Jennie Hatch, Claudette Chavez and Jonathan Longdon. The workout was first posted by CrossFit Rio Rancho (Albuquerque, NM, USA).
