Training Think Tank Throwdown WOD
- AMRAP in 14 minutes
- From 0:00-8:00, AMRAP of:
- 8 Dumbbell Power Cleans (2x50/35 lb)
- 8 Strict Handstand Push-Ups
- 8 Dumbbell Front Squats (2x50/35 lb)
- Then from 8:00-14:00, establish:
- 1 rep max Snatch
The workout starts with an 8-minute AMRAP of 8 Dumbbell Power Cleans, 8 Strict Handstand Push-Ups, and 8 Dumbbell Front Squats. Then in the next 6 minutes, athlete must establish a one rep max Snatch.
Score is the total number of repetitions completed in the 8 minutes plus the heaviest load successfully lifted for the one rep max Snatch. If the athlete finishes 200 reps in the first part and successfully lifted 225 lb, the score will be 425.
Dumbbell Power Clean: One head must touch the ground. You must stand to full extension at the top of each rep with elbows in front of the centerline of your body.
Strict Handstand Push-Up: Must use a 36×24″ box. Straight body line with full extension at the top of each rep AND feet inside 36″ box.
Dumbbell Front Squat: Can be placed any way on shoulders. Hip Crease must pass below the knee and full extension of the hips and knees must be met on each rep.
