“Regionals 18.1” was a repeat of a CrossFit Games event from 2014, the “Triple 3.”

This event begins with the athlete on the starting mat. At the sound of the beep, the athlete moves forward to the rower to row 3,000 meters. The athlete then moves forward to the double-under area and completes 300 double-unders (advancing every 100 reps). The athlete then moves to the Assault AirRunner and runs 3 miles before moving to the finish mat.

"Triple 3" (Regionals 18.1) was the first of several workouts for the 2018 CrossFit Games Regionals, to be performed on Friday at each regional event. The workout was announced on May 7, 2018.

The 2018 CrossFit Regional competitions were billed as "The tip of the spear: The fittest athletes and teams in the region compete to earn their place in the Reebok CrossFit Games."

After the 2018 CrossFit Open, the fittest men, women and teams from 18 worldwide areas head to one of six “regional” events over three weekends, for their chance to compete at the CrossFit Games.
